Poem: Ethics in Biotechnology

Bioethics, a subject of great concern,

In biotechnology, it takes a turn

Debates and dilemmas, ethical plight,

Navigating the moral compass, day and night.

From gene editing to cloning's might,

Ethical questions, a constant fight

Playing God or healing the sick?

Bioethics, a challenge, oh so thick!

Should we tamper with nature's code,

Or let it be, as the story's told?

Playing with life's intricate design,

Bioethics, a conundrum, so divine!

Informed consent and autonomy,

Or profit-driven, the economy?

Ethical implications, complex and deep,

Bioethics, a puzzle, hard to keep.

Balancing risks and benefits galore,

In biotechnology's evolving lore,

Where do we draw the ethical line?

Bioethics, a debate, that's just fine!

With advancements come ethical binds,

In biotechnology's innovative finds

Navigating dilemmas, gray and unclear,

Bioethics, a challenge, we must revere.

So, ponder on bioethics' complex plight,

In biotechnology's dazzling light

A sarcastic reminder, with a sardonic tone,

Bioethics, a conundrum, all on its own!
